Welcome to the Expo!
Your home improvement projects don’t start at home…they start at the HBA’s Home Improvement & Remodeling Expo.
At our 44th Annual Home Expo, you have the opportunity to visit with over 90 different vendors all under one roof. You do not need to drive all over town trying to find answers to your home improvement projects; find everything you need during our three-day event at Two Rivers Convention Center.
The Expo: Meet one-on-one with the pros. Ask questions about products and services, and receive expert advice for those DIY projects you have planned. If you are looking at purchasing a new home, we have several builders, agents, and lenders on site to help you find that perfect place for you and your family!
For the Kids: Join Mor Storage Sales and Home Depot for a free kid’s workshop (Friday and Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 2 p.m.). Build a project and take it home! Kids Clinic is taking place at the Mor Storage buildings in the outside courtyard.
FREE Home Tour: After you enjoy the show, hit the open road for the Bank of Colorado sponsored Custom Home Tour. See some of the latest design trends and new technology featured in these six homes located throughout the Grand Valley. Who knows, one of these amazing houses may become your next home.
Homes are open Friday and Saturday 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Sunday 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
On behalf of the HBA, our sponsors, and vendors we hope you enjoy all the expo has to offer! It has been a pleasure putting this year’s event together for you! See you at the show!
HBA of Western Colorado
A very special “thank you” to each one of our expo sponsors and exhibitors as well as our home tour sponsor and builders. Whether you are a current member of the Housing & Building Association, if you have regularly participated in the expo, or if we have just met this year, I am privileged to work with each of you. The attention to detail in your displays and the pride you take in your business makes me honored to have you in our 2019 event. I look forward to working with you again! Best wishes for a wonderful show!
Thank you to our admissions volunteers (Friday: Metro Brokers; Saturday: United Country Real Quest Realty; Sunday: Coldwell Banker). We couldn’t do it without you!
Thank you also to my 2019 Board of Directors for volunteering to help whenever/wherever I need you! I greatly appreciate your hard work and dedication to the HBA and to the housing and building industry on the Western Slope!

44th Annual Home Improvement & Remodeling Expo
The Housing & Building Association is already thinking SPRING!
Turkey leftovers have been made into soups and casseroles and fall decorations are being replaced with Christmas trees and nativity sets. As fall turns into winter, the Housing & Building Association is already thinking SPRING!
Spending more time indoors give us a chance to look around our home and see the areas that need improvements, updates, and repairs. As we create our to-do lists for 2019, make sure you save the date for our 44th Annual Home Improvement & Remodeling Expo. Our 2019 Expo is taking place March 1-3rd at Two Rivers Convention Center, downtown Grand Junction.
Our expo is the oldest and largest on the Western Slope. Not only is the expo a great resource for finding the professionals to help you with your to-do lists, but it is also the best place to showcase your products and expertise to consumers as a vendor. If you have a product or service that you would like to showcase, keep reading for more information and answers to your questions about the event.
HOME EXPO FAQ’S: What types of vendors showcase their businesses in your show?
We have EVERYONE that is part of the housing industry under one roof during the three days of the expo! From builders/remodelers, landscapers, HVAC companies to suppliers for carpet/tile, windows, cabinets, spas, solar, mortgage lenders…just to name a few! The HBA’s Home Expo is a great way to get your product in front of potential consumers. By creating the one-stop-shopping environment, consumers feel at ease while looking for products and services, getting to know you and your sales team, being able to ask questions, as well as being introduced to the latest products on the market. Whether they are in the market for a brand new home or updating their current one, we want to have a wide variety of services in one location.
What is the average number of attendees for the expo?
We average over 4500 attendees with over 90 different vendors showcasing their products. I am a member of the HBA of Western Colorado.
Do I get a discount on my booth? YES!
All HBA members receive a discount on their booths versus non-members of the association. Our website shows information about our association. We are a local not-for-profit association based in Grand Junction. Our association is affiliated with the Colorado Association of Homebuilders and the National Association of Homebuilders. We work hard to keep the building industry going strong on the Western Slope. Our Expo is one of our largest fundraisers for the HBA!
When is the deadline to reserve my booth or become a sponsor?
The deadline to reserve your space and be included in our vendor page in the official Home Expo Program is February 2, 2019. Due to high vendor demand, we usually sell out of booths mid-January. We have 125 booths available inside the convention center and 12 outside spaces located in the courtyard. BOOTH SPACE IS NOW SOLD OUT!
What advertising do you do for the event?
The HBA has a strong network of media partners, including The Daily Sentinel, News Channel 5/Fox 4, and The Vault 100.7! We work closely with these partners promoting the event in the weeks prior to and during the event. From live broadcasts to the official program, this event is heavily marketed on the Western Slope! Become an event sponsor and your business receives an extra promotion before and during the event, based on the level of sponsorship you select! Visit our website for the different levels and what “extras” each brings!
We hope to see you at the 2019 Home Improvement and Remodeling Expo in March as a consumer or a vendor. Please contact us today for more information.

What is the Housing & Building Association of Western Colorado?
By now you are likely familiar with two of our largest events: The Home Improvement & Remodeling Expo in the spring, and the Parade of Homes in the fall. You may not be familiar with the organization behind them.
The Housing & Building Association of Western Colorado (HBA) is a not-for-profit professional trade-association that was chartered by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) in January 1974.
Over the past 44 years, we have been promoting the housing and building industry on the western slope. Our members consist of companies that not only include builders, developers, and remodelers, but also trade contractors, landscapers, suppliers, plumbers, banks, mortgage lenders, title companies, and many more. Together we work to support our local construction industry.
The first image you may have when one mentions the construction industry is the builder wearing a hard hat, tool belt, cutting lumber and hammering nails. Think beyond that image to how this industry affects almost every business. From the architect, real estate professional, lender, materials suppliers (lumber, windows, doors, insulation), the product manufacturers, installers, (plumbers, electricians, flooring), to the landscapers and nurseries supplying the flowers, plants, trees, and let’s not forget the furniture stores supplying that new living room, dining and bedroom set. For every one home built, over THREE full-time jobs are created.
Whether it’s a remodel or new construction, these jobs are vital in our community and those across the country. Which is why we are here.
Affiliated with the National Association of Homebuilders as well as the Colorado Association of Homebuilders, our collective voice is strong and is heard from Denver to Washington D.C.
The State and National Associations watch the regulations and policies affecting those in the industry as well as the homebuyer, such as mortgage, finance, building codes, energy, and the environment.
Our association and our board of directors are committed to protecting the building industry and our community, keeping the American dream of homeownership in reach. To learn more about our association and our upcoming events, visit us at www.hbawesternco.com for an online list of our members.
